They had a delay in the assembly of HD units because a container with parts was held up (considerably longer than usual) at customs. They only managed to ship the first 100 units in July. But by now they have that container, they've been busy assembling and testing the units, and yesterday they posted this update on the Kickstarter comments section:
"The orders for HD (Classic, Mega and Xtreme) and SideKick units are expected to be shipped out by the 21st of this month. The 4K & Flex pre-orders are expected to be shipped out in October. We will send our detailed updates about this soon and we thank you for your patience."
I do agree that their communication to the Indiegogo and pre-order people could be better, though... all I can recommend right now, is to regularly check the Kickstarter comments section, as they do post info there on a fairly regular basis:
It is the 23rd now and I did not receive a tracking number or any mail by Dreamscreen yet. I am backer #17 on Indiegogo and desperately waiting . Unfortunately the communication is not as good on Indiegogo as on kickstarter. Can someone - please - give me an information when my Dreamscreen including Sidekicks will be shipped to Germany? I am sorry for any inconvenience I have caused, but I just wanna know when my Dreamscreen will be shipped.
We plan to finish shipping the HD units (both KickStarter and IndieGoGo) before the end of September. We were awaiting the German language manuals that we had printed to facilitate the customs process. We appreciate your patience and are working to ship out all we can ASAP.
Okay, thank you for this update. I´m a little bit confused due to your update on Indiegogo that all HD units have been shipped now. So it seems that not all have been shipped yet? So I´m going to be patient a few days more.
I ordered my DS4K direct through the www.dreamscreentv.com/ website. I wish I'd chosen to order through either Indiegogo or Kickstarter now as I can't see any of the updates that dreamscreen have posted :/

Ahhhhh, what's going wrong? I wait till 2-3 month to my order . It was on the way And it was arrived here in Germany at the Frankfurt Airport and was held in costums (for more than one month) und today I saw it was on the way back to US. But why? What is happen?
Hmm... that's frustrating. On the tracking page they didn't specify a reason why it is sent back? Then the people at Dreamscreen probably won't know either, until the package arrives back at their office (hopefully there will be some papers included to explain why it is sent back).
The address on the package must be correct, otherwise you would already have seen that in the tracking info... so that can't be the reason. And you never received an invoice from the customs office to pay import tax and customs charges? Because if they did send you an invoice, and you didn't pay in time, then that could be the reason why they are sending it back...
Anyway, right now, I fear that all you can do, is wait until the package arrives back at the DreamScreen headquarters, so that they will know why it was sent back, and they can send it again (or they can contact you to resolve whatever issue it was).
I *do* recommend contacting the DreamScreen team directly about this, though (it's easiest to use the dreamscreentv.com/contact form), so that they will know that they can expect the package, and so that they can immediately contact you when it arrives back at their office.
At this time, I consider this unlikely. The resellers would have to import the DS as well (and pay the import taxes). If they can import and sell large quantities, then it may be possible to lower the price a little bit (as they only pay the UPS service charge once per shipment), but they still have to pay the European TAX/VAT part. That's probably why the UK's price doesn't differ that much from the price you calculated. And at the time being, I don't think there is even enough demand to sell DreamScreen in large quantities in Europe.
I do agree that the whole TAX/VAT situation s*cks. I already had to go through it twice for DreamScreen shipments, and expect to have to have to go through it again for the 4K shipment. But I still think it's worth it, for the quality of the product that I receive...
Once they have submitted the package details to the delivery company (in your case, probably USPS) and received the tracking numbers, it can take a couple of days before that company actually receives the packages (they are all delivered in batches) and before the package becomes trackable.
As for how long... no idea (though I consider it extremely unlikely that you'll receive it this week).
How do we get in contact with Dreamscreen as there contact email account is currently full and all emails keep bouncing back because of this! I'm waiting for my order to be sent out and seems to be stuck on it bein collected from tracking info.
