Go into the app and select custom screen size.
You will see the default is 8 leds vertical and 16 leads horizontal. Change them.
I have a 55" screen and changed the numbers to the actual number of leds behind the TV. For me that is 16 vertical and 22 horizontal (I count the corners twice).
This increased the brightness substantially, so give it a try.
