First off, I'm one of the worst technically inept guys you'll find. Setting a up wifi pisses me off lol, so stepping up and buying a dreamscreen was a little nerve racking, I've had two now, I started with a 45inch 4K and went up to a 55inch used 1080p. I had issues setting up the 45inch as it took me a couple hrs but it ended up working great, one issue I had is I own a Tiger Stream box and it wouldn't run it properly as it'd flash on and off? I'm not a mess around with the settings kind of guy so I never could run that box through the DS, but the Apple TV or the Fire Stick/Xbox worked fine but not the Tiger Stream box?? If anyone knows why please enlighten me as I'd like to fix the issue as THAT box has free PPV
I had my first 4K hub freeze up durning my first update (light on hub wouldn't come on anymore, dead) but DS came to the rescue and shipped out a replacement asap, when I had it hooked up to the 45inch 4K tv the colors seemed more defined and separation separation on the wall seemed cleaner, then going up to the 55inch 1080p I've noticed it washes out, less defined. Just what I'm noticing, Not sure if that's normal because it's going up in size or I'm doing something wrong but it works great (super easy the second time seting up) but I'm not sure what the optimal settings would be, if others would like to share their settings that'd be cool and it'd be great to see where others find a good clean mix of colors etc, even though it's personal. Not sure if we can post photos of what others people's setting are but that'd be cool. I also have the side kick lights but haven't set those up yet but they shouldn't be an issue as it seems I've got the setup down after many hrs of issues with the first hub etc. oh another problem I had was when I received the new lights for my 55inch they lacked the cleaning pads to clean the tv off for the adhesive backing, even though I cleaned it I noticed right away that the first strips I got in were so much more better as when I went to pull off the paper backing on the lights they came off pretty easy and still have an issue sticking to the surface, unlike the first set I got in. I have to go up from behind my tv once a week and press some of the strips back on as they start to peel back. I see in the future I'll need to cut some industrial two-sided tape to fix the issue. But they were less sticky than my first set??
I'd like to know what users setting are as I'm interested in those who know all the fine details, I've read many posting, a lot of you guys are super knowledgeable and know what they're doing, I'm clueless but enjoy the amazing features and the unknown immersion once a movie etc starts up. Keep up the great work and please work on some of the color issues as stated by others, the blues suck as they don't get dark and washout.
Please post what what works best for you if you have the time as I'd like to test out some of the more experienced users settings..
thanks so much dreamscreen.
