Can't you just get a 4K splinter, send one hdmi to your tv, And the next hdmi to the ds splinter. Which will scale it Down to 1080p? Just add an extra splitter. The ds splitter is suppose to down convert.

Nope, wouldn't work, for two reasons... First: the EDID signal that the splitters will send on their input is always the lowest common denominator on the outputs. So the DS splitter would send a 1080p EDID to the 4K splitter, meaning that (regardless of the 4K EDID signal it receives from the TV) the 4K splitter will also send a 1080p EDID to the playback device. Second: no, the DS splitter itself does not downscale anything.
So you would really need a separate downscaler (like the beforementioned HDFury Linker), or a combined scaler/splitter with a signal bypass option.

Just purchased DS, and as posted in other thread, what I'll try to accomplish with my Asrock BeeBox 7200U with dual HDMI output is connect one HDMI directly to TV, so no video/audio processed by DS, and other HDMI port connected to DS. We'll see when I receive my DS. In the meantime is there any other user who are already tried to dual output trick?

Has anyone confirmed this works? I went looking through this post the other day looking for a similar solution, as I recently picked up a PS4 pro and can't really fathom watching TV, movies, etc. without a dreamscreen anymore! I found the following products worked out for me. I had to replace the splitter, as the included one is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. E-SDS 1x2 HDMI Splitter 4K2K/60HZ,HDMI 2.0,HDCP 2.2,Cascaded up to 2 units(One Input To Two Outputs) www.amazon.com/dp/B01FSFV4X8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rEzMybGJBR0V3I also needed to keep my source running at 4K through the splitter, so I used this. This has a single 1 star review but I suspect that reviewer was using improper cables, as mine behaved in a similar manner until I upgraded each piece to the cables linked below. SMARTOOO 36R1 1080P to 4k upscaler and 4k to 1080p downscaler with HDMI 2.0 18Gps amplifier repater supports up to 20 meters HDMI cable at 4k 60HZ Compliant with HDCP 2.2 and lower www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2T3LQT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_2AzMybN7E4ZWWThese I use from the splitter outputs to the TV and scaler: HDMI Cable 1.5 FT (2 Pack) - HDMI 2.0 (4K @ 60Hz) Ready - 30AWG Braided Cord - High Speed 18Gbps - Gold Plated - Ethernet / Audio Return - Video 2160p HD 1080p 3D - Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Apple TV www.amazon.com/dp/B01CRA9GU0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_0HzMybW6S6REQThis one I used to run from the HDMI splitter input, through the wall and into my media center for the source. In either case, this is what worked for me and didn't cost a fortune. Cables are more important for this to work properly than I initially thought.

I bought all these parts and it didn't work for me, as soon as I plug in the scaler to the 4K splitter then it downgrades to 4K immediately when using the 4K genie with Marantz SR7011 receiver. I have the high speed cables from monoprice. I have all of my video sources going through the Marantz (with upscaling turned off) then out to 4K splitter, one side goes to my LG UB9800 TV into the HDCP input and the other side of the 4K splitter going into the scaler then to the old splitter that came with the Dream Screen acting as a female to female HDMI into the dream screen HDMI stick. I've ordered some high speed female to female adapter to see if that makes a difference, will be here tomorrow and I'll test and report back.
