I'm afraid 4-pin mean you bought the wrong strip - thats an anlog one you need a 3-pin digital strip with +5V, Ground and DataIn like the attached picture from the kickstarter page: "The DreamScreen DIY currently will work with WS2812B, SK6812, APA104, and WS2813 digital LED lights." Attachments:

FML. Thanks buddy. You listed 4 different types of LEDs. Are there big differences between them? What would you recommend?

I dont think the difference are very big
I would suggest to google or look at other posts here in the forum and at the kickstarter page
