Add an ON/OFF ability using a day/hour scheduler to the dream screen mobile app.
The dreamscreen already turns on and off using usb signal (nice!), however during the day (8am to 5pm) I don't need it to be ON (even if USB says turn ON).
If we had a scheduler I could set to be OFF from 8am to 5pm, even if USB says turn on. (this could also be manually overridden from the app)

I put this suggestion on the list. When you say On/Off you are referring to Video/Sleep modes, not completely booted down?
Personally I have my 4K hub powered by a Wemo wifi outlet that supports scheduling, and I scheduled it in a similar fashion. But this is completely removing power, not just Sleep/Video mode.

Personally I have my 4K hub powered by a Wemo wifi outlet that supports scheduling, and I scheduled it in a similar fashion. But this is completely removing power, not just Sleep/Video mode. Oh, I meant whatever state it goes into when the attached micro USB port says "no power" or when I press OFF in the app. (sleep?)
You just gave me an idea. I can use a digital timer to achieve my desired result, in the meantime. Attached directly between the dreamscreen power jack and outlet.
EDIT: Oops, I forgot. My dreamscreeen is connected to monitor 2 output on my receiver and switching the dreamscreen power ON/OFF (not sleep) or unplugging the HDMI cable (while its on) causes the receiver to recalculate outputs and video will go dark for 2 seconds.
This also crashes windows media center (Live TV), if it is running. (I usually exit WMC live TV before unplugging in the dreamscreen power or HDMI cable).
So any solution has to be in SLEEP mode and not complete power OFF/ON.

If I'm understanding your request this should be possible when DreamScreen launches their Connect hub.
I'd imagine you will be able to set your scheduling through through IFTTT.
