Currently I have the WS2811 leds. (cheap china alie express ones) I heard from dreamscreen team this "The WS2811 will not work with DreamScreen. We suggest the WS2812B or SK6812RGB LEDs. " I think the WS2812B is practically identical to the WS2811, on ali express they are advertised both as the same. But I guess only WS2812B and SK6812 RGB work because they are 5V?
My WS2811 have their own power supply, Maybe I could somehow make them work the dream screen by soldering the right stuff idk? (my friend soldered the whole ambilight, arduino and power supply I have, I have no technical knowledge of that)
Anyway, I saw on youtube real industrial leds get about 3500 LUX where cheap ones get 2500 LUX.. Industrial leds are more higher quality, white is more white and not blue for example.
But where do I get these industrial leds is the question, which supposidly are more expensive? Anyone have experience with it?
Im not sure if the WS2812B that dreamscreen offers with their flex, Classic, Mega and Xtreme, are industrial quality? If anyone can verify i'd appreciate that.

I have used many LED strips for so many different projects I can not remember them all. I own DS and use it on a 59" plasma tv....love it. IMHO the size chip they use with the led count is pretty good, honestly any brighter and it will wash the picture out and take away from the whole experience. Let me finish by saying their flex strip is of a premium quality and would even go so far as to say industrial quality.
