Hi,
I've been an avid user of the original Dreamscreen. However after switching from an XBox to a Chromecast, I've noticed the entire Dreamscreen experience to be unsatisfactory.
Reading through the threads, it sounds like my existing HDMI splitter that came with the product is now obselete as a Chromecast requires CEC support.
And now, the Dreamscreen app cant even find the lights to connect to them. I've seen some talk of a software update adding CEC support, but if I can't get the app to connect, that won't be helpful either.
If anybody has any ideas I'm still open to hearing them. Otherwise, very sad and disappointed to see after just two years of ownership, the product is already unsupported and obselete.

You can replace the Splitter that came with your DreamScreen with one that supports CEC and that should solve your problem.

Even if I were to replace the splitter, the app does not connect to the device. I believe this is the first issue to solve here. I've tried getting up close, power cycling, updating the app. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Or is a working connection (splitter and device) is required before the app can connect?

With the lackluster commitment to support around here, it doesn't make any sense to continue using products from this brand. Thanks for confirming this for me.

This is not our main support channel. If you'd like more immediate support you can contact us directly using the contact form on our website. This forum exists more so that DreamScreen users can talk to each other about DreamScreen.
