Odd issue here. My Apple TV is plugged into my Dreamscreen, and whenever I first fire up my Apple TV, I can do an unlimited number of things — except press the Menu button. The moment I do that, the Dreamscreen crashes and I get a "NO SIGNAL" message floating around my TV screen. From there I have to go into the Dreamscreen app, randomly mash all the inputs back and forth (any combination of cable, Chromecast and Apple TV about two or three times each), then go back to the Apple TV remote and mash all the buttons again until it turns back on. Then it's all fine and I can use the Menu button again without a crash. At least for a few hours. If I turn off the AppleTV or Dreamscreen, this starts the process all over again. Drives my gf nuts, since she doesn't have the app on her phone, so she can't mash-reset the Dreamscreen when she's binging The Office "in the background" during a work-from-home day.
I have replaced all the HDMI cables, which didn't fix it.
I have turned off all the CEC functions in the Dreamscreen app settings, which did "fix" it, but obviously this is an unsatisfactory fix. I want to use a single remote, my AppleTV remote, to turn the box and the TV on and off (we use the cable and Chromecast the practical equivalent of never). I don't want to pull out the massive TV remote just to turn the TV on and off. But this is currently the solution we're going with.
Thoughts?
