hi,
i really love my dreamscreen , i got it hooked up to a hdmi receiver and its working flawless!!!!
but i would love to add more stripes for ambilight (nosidekicks) and also would love to controll my hue lights from this app...
since this isnt possible i was thinking...
the team has stopped developing, did they released their source codes?
they should or could make it opensource!
we could do alot of great things....
i know alittle bit about coding, i did a few wemos projects with ambilight and hyperion...
u can archieve the same like with the deamscreen, but it doesnt look so nice!!!
dreamscreen shouldnt be amost the same not much differences from the protocols i think most if not all work with UDP protocols...
if we could find more ppl who would actively support this project, we could bring up a kickstarter campaign or a moneypool to pay some freelancers or coders change the app like we want it ...
this should be possible for under 500usd... releasing a app on the apple appstore costs 100usd for one year... im really thinking about opening up a kickstarter project for this kind of app...
but we need the source code!!!!!
- add philipls hue support (nanoleaf, or any other led strip with a wlan controller - wemos - esp etc)
- add logitech harmony support
- add IFTTT app suppoprt
- add apple home support
- add more ambient scenes
- add ambient scene creator
- improve the grouping functions
i mean this thing really has the power to controll all or lets say most your leds in your house since all of the devices has their own hardware and are driven to wifi...
would be a shame if there would be no more progress....
also it sucks to have 3 different apps for led lights on my phone... one for dreamscreen, one for nanoleaf, and one for hue....
if u have any suggestions for more improvements or bugfixes, or adding functionalites... writte them here pls.
im about to conact the dreamscreen team about the old source code for the app...
thx and sorry for my bad english.
