Noob here
When I connect my dream screen into my one connect mini, or any video output.. let's say DVR, and I turn it on video mode, it doesn't show any movement in the background lighting. It's just blue. Any ideas on things I can do to get this working?

If you are using the Samsung OneConnect box, then the DreamScreen needs to go inbetween your video device and the OneConnect box. Also make sure that your DreamScreen isn't set to Ambient Mode. The color of the light on the HDMI Stick will indicate which mode it is in. See instruction manual for more details.

So I know how to set which selection from sound to video to ambinance, etc. it's on the purple color.
But this is what I have. TV to MINI CONNECT ONE box, (because that's the only way it can connect. That box has about 4 HDMI inputs into it. So I would chose HDMI 1 and add the hdmi cord TO the Dreamscreen splinter to the output, then I would put the input to the DVR (which is the input 1) then the other spitter will be the dream screen hdmi thing. Still doesn't show the tv colors in video. Just a static one color.
There no way for me to put the hdmi splitter between the tv and the connect one box, because the Samsung tvs have a weird connection. Samsung tvs do not have HDMIs on the actual tv. U HAVE to connect it to that box and that's where the HDMIs ports are located

It sounds like you may have something turned around.
- DVR should have cable running to Input of DreamScreen Splitter - DreamScreen Splitter should have one Output connected to the OneConnect Box and then the other Output on the DreamScreen Splitter have have the DreamScreen HDMI Stick - Make sure the Splitter AND the Stick are both plugged into power. If you are powering the Splitter with a USB port on the TV, try using the wall adapter provided. - Make sure your video devices (including AV receivers) are manually set to output at 1080P instead of “Auto”. - If it still does not work, Try swapping out the HDMI cables for different ones (including the one we provided)

Hi there,
I am about to purchase the DreamScreen for my Samsung S8000 Smart TV, but I just want to be 100% sure that it works with Samsung's One Connect Box. The above discussion gives me not 100% clarity. Can you please confirm that the DreamScreen works properly when connected to Samsung's One Connect Box?

Sonny,
It works, but will only work with one device at a time and you would need to plug whatever you're currently using through the DreamScreen whenever you want to switch devices. If you are using only one video source, then this shouldn't be an issue for you at all.

Hi
I am having a similar problem. I have a Sam UE55HU8500 (4K enabled) this has a one connect box with all inputs then has a separate unique lead that attaches to TV. I also have a Bose T10 Home Theatre which has 3 inputs and 1 output.
So i have my SkyHD (if not from UK and not heard of it, its our satellite tv) , PS4, Apple TV connected to Bose through HDMI then HDMI out to HDMI1 on my one connect box.
I have tried to install DS in-between Bose and one connect box, in-between SkyHD and Bose then completely bypass Bose so it was just Sky To one connect, I get the blue Sky page each time but then get a message that it does not support HDCP but it is a sky message so some sort of picture is coming through.
I have looked for software updates on Tv, Sky and Bose all up-to date, I have turned all video outputs to 720p still no luck.
I have read up a bit that the splitter could be causing issue? so i have ordered a upgraded splitter to see if this sorts problem out.
The DS works fine as ambient just will not do the actual thing i bought it for.
Any helpful ideas would be great, and any questions welcomed.
Jamie

It sounds like some device in your setup is trying to use CEC when the DreamScreen splitter is not compatible with CEC. A splitter that supports CEC should fix this issue.

I havent purchased yet, but am considering. i know the 4k is a no go. This is around the samsung mini box. if i am using a receiver from the box can the dream screen work with multiple devices? so i have everything plugged into the samsung box, then the samsung box is plugged into the receiver. can this go in between the samsung box and the receiver?
Thanks

See below example:
PS4---------| Xbox--------|--> AV Receiver --> DreamScreen ---> OneConnect ----> TV Cable Box---|

The above should work provided you are not trying to use CEC with your devices.

Thank you - no CEC is too inconsistent for me.

Here is Sonny back again. Based on your advise (see admin response 28th of March) I bought the DS, installed it and... no signal on my TV by using the splitter. It only works in ambient mode. The splitter does not transfer the signal from my set top box to the TV. As a test I connected my laptop-HDMI output directly to the TV (worked fine), and then connected to te input port of the splitter and the splitter output to the TV (no signal on TV). It looks like the splitter is not working. The power-led on the splitter blinks red and the output leds are flickering in green. I am not using any CEC with my devices.
I am very disspointed at this moment. Please advise.

Are you using the wall cube we provided to power the Splitter?
