I am confused, it says here "ARC functionality is not supported by the Hub." but the main website says "ARC support on the second HDMI input". Which is it?
Edit: Search is your friend. "ARC is available on the 4K Hub on the second HDMI input. This was not always the case, as ARC was added after the initial campaign release. This is why you are seeing conflicting messages."

My denon avr-s910w receiver has dual hdmi monitor outputs from the same source. Does the 4k hub need a display to be connected on the hdmi output side to work? Thanks.

No it does not, it can function with only inputs.

Had I searched google properly last week, I wouldn't have wasted money on a "scimolight" kit. *sigh*

You should see if you can return it since it has only been a week. More research should probably be done but just from their website I can see that their 4K solution costs a lot more than DreamScreen 4K and looks like it requires more parts and setup.

I got the basic 1.2 kit ($172), so I still need a HDMI 4k to CVBS converter ($45). If I buy stuff from overseas, I never ship it back for refunds (too risky). I tried that once with a Chinese product and they kept all my monies. Plus, it's my fault for not Googling better and doing better research. There is always Ebay! If your 4k product does everything it says smoothly, this is HUGE!!

Can someone add the flex corner connectors to the accessories section in the online SHOP? Thanks.

If i choose "DreamScreen 4K Kit" and Size: "1 flex up to 70", does that include : 1. DIY cable only 2. Flex led only (for 70 inch) 3. 3 Flex corner connectors The shop website should be updated to dynamically show included items (as your selections change), to avoid confusion.

You should definitely consider returning the product you already have since it is not 4K compatible. I think there was a misunderstanding when you ordered. Their 4K set is 520 euros total. If you got their 1.2 version I don't believe a 4K splitter would fix that and make it support 4K. DreamScreen 4K - 1 Flex Reel package includes: - Power Supply
- DreamScreen 4K Hub
- 1 Reel of Flex LEDs
- HDMI Cable
- Flex Connector
Our Flex LEDs do not require a DIY cable and come with their own connector for the LEDs. Flex LEDs also do not use corner pieces because they make for too unstable of a connection because they require you to cut the strip and then reconnect it using the corner piece. Much better results are obtained when you just fold the LED strip at a 90 degree angle. This is very easy to do with the Flex LED reel since there is sufficient spacing between the LEDs. You can see an example of this folding in our DIY Setup Video.

As far as I know the "other product" only takes S-Video (Y/C) or Composite (CVBS) as input. (It is never connected to the TV). That's why I need a "HDMI 4k to composite/s-video" converter (I found two, but only with a maximum input resolution of 4k@30hz). Also, I bought mine from their sister site where the prices are cheaper because you don't get led strips, hdmi to composite converter and any hdmi cables included. We will see what I get for my $172 when it arrives. In any case Ebay it, then DREAMSCREEN 4k plug and play!!

I wanted a cleaner looking setup with neatly cut and wired corners. I was going to buy these connectors a.co/99OqESB or simply solder the all ends for maximum connectivity. By the way, the flex led reel pictured on your shop website has a clear rubber waterproof shell, which would make it difficult to fold easily. www.dreamscreentv.com/product/flex-led-only/(unless that photo is not the actual reel)

The Flex reel pictured on the website is not the same product we will sell. We are awaiting the shipment of Flex LEDs so that we can take more photos and update the website accordingly.
The Flex LEDs will NOT have a silicon coating around them and will be very simple to fold like in our DIY Setup Video. The fold is actually very clean and flatter than you would think.
You are free to solder them or use 3rd party connector pieces but please be aware we cannot take any returns of LEDs due to those not working.

I will use some cheaper Amazon WS2812Bs in 30 pixels per meter.
Do you think having the clear silicon coating (vs non-coated) will make the light look more evenly dispersed on a white wall behind the tv? Or no difference?

It depends on what kind of coating specifically, but if the coating is completely clear then it shouldn't make too much of a difference. Keep in mind you will not be able to fold any LED strip with the coating.
