Has anyone started receiving their 4k preorders yet? Was thinking about pre-ordering but wasn't sure of the time frame of when I would receive it.

Last news on Kickstarter was, that they have started production of the 4K units, and they expect to start shipping the Kickstarter orders by mid November. Then come the Indiegogo orders, then the regular pre-orders. I don't know at what rate they can produce them, but my guess would be, if you pre-order now, that your unit would ship sometime in December.

Pre-orders via the web shop are at regular retail price ? Are those prices incl V.A.T. ? (For us European customers).
What does the 4K package offer more then the HD package, other then 4K ? I don't own 4K equipment (yet).

No, prices don't include European VAT and/or customs charges, so you will have to take into account that those may be added upon arriving in Europe.
As for the differences between the HD and the 4K (partly from the Kickstarter page):
DreamScreen HD Hub supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 720i HDMI resolutions. DreamScreen HD is HDMI 1.4 capable and works with HDCP-encrypted content. ARC functionality is not supported by this hub.
DreamScreen 4K Hub supports 4K2K, 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 720i HDMI resolutions (1440p resolutions were recently added as well, though the color matching is still a work-in-progress). The hub supports HDMI 1.4b and HDMI 2.0b specification and includes HDCP ciphers that are compliant with HDCP 1.4/2.2 specification. The video passthrough will support 12-bit Deep Full HD, Full 3D, HDR and HDR10 (4:2:0, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 up to 12-bit). It supports ARC functionality (only on HDMI input port 2).
In short, if you can live without resolutions beyond 1080p, don't need ARC, and are perfectly fine with HDMI/HDCP 1.4 support, then the HD unit will do just fine.

to give you an idea about the costs
on a german forum a user reported that for a DS HD + Sidekick order that cost 215$ plus 48$ S/H he paid 51 EUR for VAT and customs

Do these support hdr10? Just bought a new TV for Xbox one x and this would be a nice addition.

I got the same email. It said it was only valid during the Black Friday weekend, so I fear you're too late...

If it is not too much to ask could anyone possibly please post KickStarter backer Update #6 from earlier today (09/26), on the forum? If this is "against the rules" or looked down upon, could someone please anonymously send it to me in a Private Message here on the forum? I did not back Kick$tarter because of the campaign's lack of funding options (K$ website shortfall - Not DS fault). I pre-ordered the 4K version through the official DreamScreen web store as soon as it was available. I'm anxiously awaiting the 4K version release and would appreciate being able to read the newest updates. (I suspect that the update is not very important or new world breaking info, but I cannot help but wonder what it says since it is locked away from my eyes) Thanks! If it is not too much to ask could anyone possibly please post KickStarter backer Update #7 from a few days ago (12/19), on the forum? (thanks again Freddy for that prior tip) P.P.S. Images of the PCB boards might be considered proprietary info and possibly should be not made public. As much as I want to see those images, feel free to exclude them from the update to the board or Private Message, should anyone be willing to help me out.
