I just updated my app on ios and it said there is a new firmware version and when I open the app it tells me to update but the settings say it's up to date and still showing the old firmware. How do I update? Do I need to factory reset it?

We are slowly releasing firmware 1.3.5.4 for DreamScreen 4K, which only contains bug fixes for stability. You can only update the firmware if the app states your hub is currently running 1.3.5.2 or 1.3.5.3 - the app should will then show an 'Update' button. Factory resetting is not needed

If it helps, I had to uninstall the app from my wife's iPad and after reinstalling, it recognized the need for an update without having to factory reset. It wasn't available on my Android phone yet.

Is there a link for bug tracking? What is accepted, what is in investigation, and information which one is planned to be fixed in which release? We would save time to not report the same issue again. As well a release notes with fixes would be nice.

And what about Beta testing? HDR ist not working ... guys!?! If you promising that you will invite us to test the firmware, why are you deploying the next one without us?

Firmware Version 1.3.5.4 shows the same 4k Issues as mentioned, I've tested the "new" firmware version with my Onkyo Receiver and getting the same issues (flickering and on/off effects of the leds). So guys you are deploying a wrong firmware version again and what now?

Here is the thread I created yesterday; any suggestions on what to try? dreamscreen.boards.net/thread/1292/dreamscreen-ios-firmware-update-failedI’ve also opened a ticket with DS support.

I should also mention that by trying to update the firmware; now I can’t even use my DreamScreen and it’s essentialy “bricked”.
Talk about a buzzkill.

mikelonneman Did you test the following: Reset hub to factory settings, disconnect all HDMI cables from hub and uninstalling dreamscreen ios app from iphone? After that install ios app again and trying the firmware update (after reconnecting with your wlan).

We do not have our bug tracker publicly available but I can assure you we are still aware of other issues. Regarding firmware releases, we put notes in the Google Play/App Store listings; I will now be relaying the same information to this thread dreamscreen.boards.net/thread/1296/firmware-release-notesRegarding hubs that are stuck in updating mode: Unplug all cables from the hub, and leave it unpowered for a minute before plugging it back in. Force close the app on your phone. Then when you restart the app, it should recognize the hub is waiting for the update and begin updating again. On your device, keep the screen on until the updating is done, typically ~3 minutes. This basically allows the firmware update process to start from a clean state. If you continue to have issues, please do open a ticket for troubleshooting www.dreamscreentv.com/contact/

I just did it again this morning; unplugged ALL inputs from Hub and TV, plugged back in all inputs, waited for a couple minutes, reset app (force close and re-opened), hit "Continue Updating" (kept app open the whole time) and it got to 99% and hung and then gave me "Firmware Update Failed"

Do you think this could be an iOS thing? I've updated via Android today without issue.
