Thank you for your message. The DreamScreen DIY currently will work with WS2812B, SK6812, and WS2813 digital RGB LED lights. Please do not attempt to directly connect other types of LEDs to DreamScreen. Please note there is a maximum limit of 250 total LEDs. Each side can have 45 and the top and bottom can have 80 each.
Please note that RGBW LEDs are NOT supported by DreamScreen.

eikum,
I am currently doing a similar exercise and trying to hunt down some SK6182 LEDs that will work with Dreamscreen, but can only find RGBW units? Very strange. If anyone can point us to a RGB reel, that would be great.

Thanks, eikum - Admin, if you could quickly confirm if these lights (ebay) indeed are correct, that would be great. From your experience, which ones are the brightest ('best') LED DIY lights we can currently buy for the DIY unit?

Yes those should work. I cannot recommend any third=-party lights over others as we perform all our testing with the LEDs we carry.

I have a lot of experience with LED's in many forms...including the flexible strips and can tell you first hand that DS flex strips are premium quality. WAY better than anything you will find elsewhere....including Amazon, eBay etc.
DS are not that expensive compared to others...why would you not buy from them?

I would also be interested by this. We see everywhere WS2813 compatibility, but this product has a 4 pins connector, not a 3 pins, like the dreamscreen connector... Any news ?

The WS2813 has a backup data wire that you can either leave out or put into the DOUT slot of the DIY cable with the main data wire.
