Why doesn't this board have a list of products e.g. AVR, TV, UHD Players ect... that is compatible to DS4K. It would solve a lot of problems and questions. Does this company test this product before making claims of plug and play?

If you have a Yamaha RX- V679BL receiver DS4K is not compatible with its high speed/bandwidth mode, which is MODE 1 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 60hz in the advance setup. It will work in Mode 2 which signals in 4:2:0 which offers no HDR or any other high speed/bandwidth benefits, basically downgraded mode.
