I'm not sure how to word this, other than is it possible to adjust the depth of which DS reads the screen? I find that it doesn't quite mirror the edge of the screen and appears to be lighting from further into my TV picture. Hope this makes sense to someone..!

I understand what you mean. If you go into the Video Settings of the App and turn WideScreen Detection to OFF does it improve the issue at all?

Up and down depth is ok when "Widescreen detection" is "off" but sides are reading from too far. Watching 4:3 source it still reads colors from sides.

This was obviously the option I needed! It matches perfectly now, many thanks.

I have the same issue and toggling widescreen detection doesnt help. Problem is the leds are too much blended into white. So edge color fades are too smooth due to this. It would be a lot better with sharper movemement. It totally kills the reason for putting 250 leds rather than using less because colors are too blended you cant get the effect you want. Let me give you an example; I am watching Force Awakens lightsaber duel in the end. Lets say the width of the lightsaber which is at the edge of the screen would only cover 2 leds distance physcically. But lightsaber color is being lit up in 4 leds. This is killing the atmosphere. There is no problem with number of leds that is set in the app and i am using 2 strips going into seperate ports (45sides,80top/bottom)
Moreover, there really is a problem with whites. It's either blueish or with a soft hue of yellow. There should be a way to calibrate colors on the tv/wall and on DS similar to what we have in terms of 10 point white balance settings in a TV. RGB sliders in the app is not helping at all.
If we could fix/enchance these things then the outcome would be a lot better.

Agree with BarbarosP regarding the bluish whites, more colour calibration would be great.

In regards to colors being too "white", have you already made sure the HDR Tone Remapping content is enabled if you are watching HDR content?
