Looking good man. Congrats on getting it all working. I bought it back in May/June 2018, became frustrated, disconnected it and haven’t decided to give it another go until recently. My standard setup has all my components (cable, blue-ray, Apple TV 4K) plugged into my Yamaha receiver then one HDMI running from the receiver to my TV. I have one of those 2016/2017 Samsung jobs with the one connect hub (no HDMI ports on the actual tv but a hub that plugs into the TV and everything plugs into that) my biggest issue right now I believe is that the HDMI running from the receiver to the TV is through the ceiling and is 25ft long and I think, even though it’s a good cable that states it can do it, I’m experiencing signal loss. My Apple TV 4K cannot switch to 4.2.2 even though the TV would be capable of 4.4.4 chroma which has to be directly related to the signal strength. So I can’t truely test all my equipment due to this one major hurdle. I’m in the process of relocating my network equipment and once that is done and I have the wires fished from the Verizon ONT and the coax and fiber right behind the console under the TV, I can’t use much shorter cables to connect everything. I didn’t have a question before I started rambling. With your components plugged directly into the DS4K, don’t you lose the ability of your receiver for switching sources?

You can actually use the app to change sources. That is why I went this route since trying it the other way gave me sound and a black screen. In all honesty I have the Fire Cube and Fire ReCast with a bunch of apps and I don't ever even need to change inputs. Using the Amazon Fire ReCast allows for my DreamScreen to even interact now with OTA programing since now it's coming down the HDMI line from the ReCast device. It's awesome! The Sidekicks honestly make all the difference though. So worth the money!

Maybe add an hdmi signal booster for the long run?

TJ, I know what your saying but when someone else is using the tv like my wife or if my parents or in-laws are over or whatever they don’t have the app to change sources if they put on a movie or tv or the Apple TV. I’d like it better if you hit the activity on the remote and it knows what to do with all the components.
Nacho, I did consider it but since I have to move the components anyway because I need the space they are occupying now, I figured I’d just wait until I get everything in it’s more permanent place. I have a newborn so it takes me weeks to do something I could have done in a day or two. Lol.
