Hello I have recently bought a new Sony AF9 and it comes with an option to use enhanced HDMI features (see attached screenshot). When I tried this with my Xbox One X, it started flickering on and off. So I connected up a 1080p cable box and the same thing happens when the enhanced mode is enabled. Does the DS4K support the modes listed? I saw before that some suggested changing the cables so I purchased a set of HDMI 2.0b cables [ Product Link] (still to arrive). Would it make a difference? Mind you before I was using the DS4k with both XB1 and the cable box on a 1080p tv with no problems so the unit works. Thanks for any assitance Attachments:

If you test it with the new cables (switch out the DreamScreen HDMI cable as well) and it still does not work then it’s likely that feature is not supported by DreamScreen.

Thanks for any assitance This mode must be enabled for HDR and color spaces outside of rec 709. It is called many things on different sets, but basically, turning it off defeats HDR and 4K 60hz video, which is what you need for true 4K playback of movies and games with the fully realized color spectrum. This has been and is a continued ongoing problem with DS4K, especially with certain receivers in the mix. The Admin's response of simply throwing up his arms and giving up without further assistance is a pretty standard response from these people. They don't care, they have your money. The fact that they don't know what one of the most popular brands on the market labels their HDR/High bandwidth setting is just further evidence of their negligence and ineptitude. A good chunk of us users have had some luck with swapping all HDMI cables, even the garbage they include with the device and ensuring that your devices are set to no higher than Ycbcr 4:2:0. The DS4K does not support the full 18 Gbps spec as they claim. Also, make sure 24 hz or auto frame switching is disabled as they dont really support that either, even though they claim to. Finally, make sure to use Input 2 (ARC) on the DS4K, it appears to be the primary input and higher spec. If you keep harassing them, eventually they'll explain that you'll have better luck with their new product, the Dreamscreen Solo. A device that was announced months ago and still not released, nor should you buy one anyway since they still cant get this device to work. The one you already paid hundreds for. If none of this works, your only options are to settle on lower quality video, add in a splitter/downconverter, or attempt to get a refund.

I wasn't aware this feature was required to use 4K and HDR, I thought this was just a post-processing effect offered by the receiver.
It should work with the DreamScreen then so hopefully changing the HDMI cables will fix the issue.

Hello So I tried the new cables and found the following: 1) Set to standard, Xbox One X only works but no HDR and no 4k and 60hz 2) Set to standard and connecting the 1080 cable box causes picture to go on and off 3) Set to enhanced and connecting only Xbox One X detects every feature but when it tries to render something in HDR (using Microsoft Insects to test) the picture goes on and off 4) Set to standard and connecting both devices causes the picture to go on and off on both sources. Connecting both sources directly to the tv does not exhibit this issues. At this point I disconnected everything and will wait until a more permanent solution is found

I might use paypal to get my money back. I am having tons off issues. With Sony 930E. Shutting off Ycbcr on the Xbox X helps but not worth paying over $300 for.
