I just got my Dreamscreen with 2 Sidekicks. 1 Sidekick works better than the other it seems the power adapters dont fit properly a have to move it a certain way to get it to make a power connection if ya bump it it looses power and ya have to jiggle it again to get it to power back on.

Is this due to the Sidekick or the power supply? If you switch the power supplies for the Sidekick does the issue occur on the same one?

If I move the power supplies the Sidekick seems to have the same amount of sensitivity and sweet spot to keep it powered on.

To me it seems like its the way the power adapter seats into the Sidekick

Dreamscreen I have this same problem with one of mine and you never responded to me. I would like to get mine replace as well. I have tape currently holding the power cord in on one of my Sidekicks. Thanks.

I believe there is a serious quality control issue with these sidekicks. I bought 2 originally that would not stay on. The same issue everyone is describing. DS has sent me 2 more as replacements. Both of the new units have the exact same issue. I've resorted to just taping the plugs down so they work...

It seems like there may be an issue with the last batch of Sidekick parts we received that is causing this. We are still investigating but if your Sidekick is not staying powered on properly please contact us directly via email and we can provide necessary replacements.

I have exactly the same problem: I received my sidekick Friday (4/5/19) and can only get it to stay on when I use heavy duty (clear) masking/Duct-Like tape, which is used to stabilize/exert pressure on power cord At the point of connection to the sidekick (the port on the sidekick where one inserts the power cord)..... basically, as a prior user described: The ONLY way my sidekick works is when physical pressure is being constantly applied (via the masking tape, in my case) which functions to exert a “sideways pressure/torque” (probably the wrong words) at a 90 degree (or maybe 80 degree angle to the power plug, precisely at its point of entry into the sidekick. Without this tape/pressure being applied, my sidekick is dead. I assume there is some bad connection at the adapters physical interface with the sidekick. Applying the pressure seems to temporarily overcome the defective parts.
Dreamscape, how can I get a replacement power cord and/or sidekick – whichever is the defective opponent ?
Thanks Arthur
Ps: Dreamscape, I know you say above to submit these problems somewhere else… But I have no idea where to do so ..... so please direct me precisely where (preferably via an email or web link) you need me to resubmit this defect, so as to get a replacement. Thanks!
