Brand new setup connected to a Samsung HD TV.
Purchased this DS direct from DS on line.
No video makes it through the DS hub to the tv. Screen stays black.
When I direct wire HDMI source to TV, video passes through fine and shows on screen.
The hub is on the WIFI network and will activate DS Lights in ambience mode only.
App fully controls LEDs in ambiance mode where you can change colors/scenes/brightness.
I have done a reset and reinstalled, checked cables to no effect. Still no video passthrough.
Double checked source selection that is set properly.
It seems like this DS is defective when it comes to video handling.
Any thoughts? Exchange process?

My suggestion and I have read this countless times is to change your HDMI cable. Apparently It can make all the difference....especially if you used the one they supplied.

I have indeed replaced the (short) one that came with the system to no effect.

What is the video source? It isn’t mentioned anywhere in the original post.

The original video source is from a Panasonic VSX-70 video amp that is fed by my cable box (cox cablevision).
Video output goes from the Panasonic VSX-70 to the Samsung 50" Smart TV by HDMI and drives the TV without issue when connected directly to the TV.
When plugging the video output into dreamscreen and then connecting dreamscreen to the tv, there is no video
The Dreamscreen app shows that it understands something is in input #1 as the icon for input #1 lights up.
The DS firmware is 1.6.1.9 and reports up to date.

Look into the settings of the receiver and turn off any “Upscaling” or “HDMI Processing” options. Does that help?
