I have just bought DS4K (firmware v1.6.5.7) and my (basic) setup HDMI cables are as as follows:
PS4 Pro -> DS4K -> Samsung KS8000
With HDR disabled on the TV input port I get a signal (with no HDR support). But as soon as I enable HDR on the TV input port I get no signal.
I feel I have been somewhat mis-sold as your website FAQ states: "Does DreamScreen 4K support HDR and HDCP 2.2? We have good news for you! The new DreamScreen 4K will support HDR and HDCP 2.2 so you should not have any issues using modern video equipment and the latest gaming consoles with DreamScreen."
But given the many threads on the dreamscreen boards about problems with HDR this does not seem to be a true statement.
I have tried the suggestions on the forums such as changing settings on the PS4 such as: - disabling HDCP - changing/forcing resolutions etc. and even changing HDMI cables.
But nothing seems to help this issue, it's just a signal with no HDR or no signal at all. I don't want to disable HDR just to get my DS4K working!
Also, I can't seem to get a simple 1080 signal from my PC to work either (I have posted a separate thread on this).
So currently out of my 2 sources, neither work :-(

Thanks for the suggestion, it seems using a scaler/matrix is the only reliable way to get things working and I already saw this thread: dreamscreen.boards.net/thread/1626/hdmi-switch-fix-when-failsUnfortunately, the decent multi-input matrix suggested in the thread does not seem to be available in the UK and importing one would cost more than the complete DS4K kit! I did look at ones like you suggested which are cheaper and available in the UK but I have 2 sources so really need something with more than one input and the 2 outputs.

I have actually got the Ps4 working now by forcing the PS4 into resolution "2160p YUV420". Setting to "Automatic" or "2160p RGB" I get no signal via the DS4k.
But it wasn't as simple as just setting the resolution setting on the PS4 because the TV, PS4 and DS4K all do some form of auto-sensing stuff and all start changing settings themselves. For example, you can't "fix" the settings on the PS4, it will always revert/change them if it thinks the target is not compatible. So the TV might be compatible with setting A but the DS4K might not be or vice versa. My recommendation for anyone with similar issues is to keep fiddling with any and every possible setting in every possible order until something works!
Although from reading other threads here is does seem you 100% need Premium Certified HDMI cables for 4K/HDR type stuff when using the DS4K, even if your current cables work fine (like mine), put a DS4K in the mix and it changes the requirements or something. People even reporting the length of premium cables can matter depending on your setup. i.e. people saying a 1m cable works but 3m cable does not!
