So I purchased the dreamscreen 4k with two side kicks a week ago. I've been wanting one for awhile and was really excited to receive it in the mail. Unfortunately it doesn't work as advertised at least not yet.
On initial install I could not get it to work in 4k I had to turn all my devices down to 1080p to get
A working signal. After doing some research I realized it was the 25ft HDMI cable. It was just too long. I replaced it with a high quality 10ft cable rated at the highest speed and I also replaced the cable that came with the DS. All my other cables are the highest quality already and do not need replacing. It helped kinda.
So now instead of the screen going black and the lights not working at all when in 4k I get a picture, but the lights just flicker. Maybe 1 out of 10 times when I restart the video does it work how it's suppose to. Sometimes the DS works, but the sidekicks flicker, Sometimes only one sidekick flickers, but most of the time the whole thing flickers and I have to restart it 100 times to get it to work properly. 1080p works perfectly. This thing cost me $400 and doesn't work out of the box!
Seems to me to be a signal issue so I purchased a HDMI repeater. This greatly improved the stability of the lights, but it didn't completely fix the problem. The lights still flicker, but it takes less restarts to get it to work propperly. My ps4 pro so far seems to be working fine now, but I really haven't played it enough to know for sure. My 4k bluray still flickers no matter what I do.
This is incredibly frustrating to say the least. I would love to hear any suggestions. I have already tried the basics. Setting are all where they are suppose to be and all HDMI cables are high quality.
My setup
Sony STR-DH770 reciever
LG UH6030 TV
Phillips BPD7501 blu-ray player
Ps4 pro console
4k Fire TV 2nd Gen
Everything runs into the receiver and then a high quality 10ft HDMI cable into the wall to the HDMI repeater and then into the tv
Please any suggestions would be great
