Hi,

I got my 4k DIY kit today and installed it. I am pretty familiar with that because I got the HD version before.

My setup:
- LG OLED E8 65"
- 4k DIY with attached FireTV 4K stick

As you can see in the video, every 2-3 seconds the screen goes black and then back again. No matter what source (YT, Kodi, Netflix, Amazon Video, UI) I use.

Any suggestions?

Even Solo 4K has not resolved this for me. I am now looking at HDFURY Linker or Intergral 2 to help downscale the 4k signal going to ds to 1080p

I got exactly the same issues over and over again, it was frustrating. i treid several cables, always the same. in the end i decided to buy Roline 8K cables and they really work. i am getting no more blackouts, so i am pretty sure, it is about handshake and the cables.

But be sure to take roline cables form the source to the dreamscreen and one form the dreamscreen to your tv. Btw. i have a lg OLED 65 e6.
