Problem with DS 4k and DVD player

Hello,

I have a Pioneer Elite DV-F07 DVD jukebox that my DS 4K doesn't like. All of my sources are routed through my AV receiver then to the DS on a single HDMI. Everything works great with my HD sources (Tivo, Roku and Bluray) but with my pioneer, the signal drops and I get a "No Signal Found" error on my monitor.  Everything works fine with the player if I bypass the DS.  Scaling is turned off on my receiver.

Any ideas?  Would an HDMI splitter work by bypassing the DS and giving the pioneer it's own input on the monitor?
