Hello, Thanks for your support during the first campaign! Unfortunately both campaigns already closed last month and the only way to pre-order at this time is through our website at www.dreamscreentv.com/shop

Now that July has ended - did the kickstarter HD units ship ? Will there be a shipping notification sent out to customers when they ship ?

We have begun shipping HD units. We were set back a little bit due to a shipping delay from one of our manufacturers. You can find more details about this in the latest post in the "Updates" section of the KickStarter page.

I just preordered mine last week and excited see this live on my TV. September can't come soon enough. Thanks for the team's hardwork!

On the Kickstarter comments they just confirmed that they're still on track to start shipping in September. But if you just pre-ordered yours last week, then do keep in mind that you will be at the back of the queue... first they will ship all the Kickstarter packages, then the packages of those who pre-ordered (pledged) on the Indiegogo campaign, then the regular pre-orders. So October is probably a more realistic shipping expectation for your pre-order...

Freddy is correct, we will be doing the shipments in that order and due to the volume of packages we must ship October is probably a more realistic date for the most recent 4K pre-orders.

If it is not too much to ask could anyone possibly please post KickStarter backer Update #6 from earlier today (09/26), on the forum?
If this is "against the rules" or looked down upon, could someone please anonymously send it to me in a Private Message here on the forum?
I did not back Kick$tarter because of the campaign's lack of funding options (K$ website shortfall - Not DS fault). I pre-ordered the 4K version through the official DreamScreen web store as soon as it was available. I'm anxiously awaiting the 4K version release and would appreciate being able to read the newest updates.
(I suspect that the update is not very important or new world breaking info, but I cannot help but wonder what it says since it is locked away from my eyes)
Thanks!

So reading the updates and receiving an email from Victor, I'm gathering that the 4k units were never going to make the Sept/Oct date. The Indiegogo update pointed out: "We expect to close on firmware development by mid-October and start production by early November." If the date was originally set for Sept, why was the 4k firmware done months ago? I understand this is a small team but it sounds like someone dropped the ball some time ago, long before the hurricanes hit. I am more than likely going to request a refund (hopefully will get it even though I pre-ordered this back in July), since I'm not going have the money I spent just sit for over 6 months till I get a product. Hopefully everything goes to plan with the new schedule for DS and this product does great. Don't take this post the wrong way, I am still excited for DS but I just don't think I can't wait any longer.

Thanks Freddy! I had thought to check Indiegogo, but I find that the IG website consistently crashes my PC web browser when I try to access it. I navigated to it on my mobile, using your handy link, and was able to read it. Yeah, delays, quirks, and working out bugs are sort of the nature of these things ('crowdfunding'). You have to come to kind of expect it going in. Mapet, were you an original, Bluetooth version, Dreamscreen owner? The final product is pretty dang awesome (but not without a few small shortcomings)! I feel that the 4K version is going to be really great and worth the wait. You can request your refund if you want, I don't believe that I can change any minds. I really do think it is going to be worth the wait though Thanks to the entire team hard at work. Keep it up!

Yeah, unfortunately the number of updates posted on Indiegogo is only a small part of the number of updates posted on Kickstarter, so I can understand that it's hard for Indiegogo backers (and even more for website pre-orders) to keep track of the actual status of the project. They had a pretty tight schedule for all products, and they have run into a number of delays before this update and before the hurricane (such as a container with necessary parts that was delayed by several weeks). It's a brand new product, and delays are pretty standard for those... especially if you have a company that values product quality above speed of delivery. As for shortcomings... unlike with the original DS, it should be considerably easier for these new ones to receive firmware updates after release (and the DS team have already announced several updates they are planning to add lateron). So I agree with Pyro, I believe the product will be worth the wait... but I cannot make that decision for others. Everyone will have to decide for themselves if this is the right product for them, and if they believe it's worth waiting for.

I bought the 4k and sidekicks bundle. Maybe you guys could send me my sidekicks now and I can wait on the 4k kit? Then I'll at least have something to play with until Nov/Dec. Since buying my ps4 pro 6 months ago, I haven't used the dreamscreen for anything but solid color back-lighting since the current dreamscreen kills 4k and hdr.... and I miss the vibrant backgrounds.

jhanson999, I recommend contacting the DreamScreen team directly, through the contact form on the website (dreamscreentv.com/contact). Then you can discuss your options for having the sidekicks sent earlier. They usually reply within 2 working days.
