I jusr discovered this product, and am considering buying it. My question is: I don't have a regular tv. I have my hifi amplifier, then my HD projector, and a roku device that streams from my media server.
Can I use the backlighting used in conjunction with this setup?
Is the HD version available, or only for pre-order?

What is the size of your screen? If you get a DreamScreen HD with 2 Flex reels that can cover up to 130" screens. HD Flex units are scheduled to being shipping in December for orders from our website.
You can use the backlighting with an source that uses HDMI. If that includes your roku device then it will work.

Also important, what resolution do you use? The HD version will only support upto 1080p... if you need higher resolutions, you may need the 4K version

Sounds promising. We're talking 85". My amplifier uses the hdmi out towards the 1080 projector. I use separate hdmi in to the amplifier for BD player and Roku 3.
So how do I need to set this up then? Where goes which connection? Since I only have one hdmi out on my amplifier...

Well, the Xtreme LED reel supports upto 80", and one FLEX reel supports upto 70", so yeah, you'd definitely need 2 FLEX reels, as admin explained. And with a 1080p projector, the HD hub should definitely be enough (no need for the 4K one).
As for connections... the DreamScreen HD has 3 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output... the output is a no-brainer, that should go to the Projector. As for the inputs, I think you have 2 options. You can either put the Hifi amplifier and the Roku device on separate HDMI inputs, or (if your amplifier supports HD video passthrough) go Roku -> amplifier -> DreamScreen -> projector (I believe the latter option would be preferable, as then you immediately also have the Roku audio on your amplifier).
