Hi,

How many watts does the DS use when in use, and when in standby?

And: is it harmful to keep the device turned on when not in use? I keep having CEC issues and having to use the app not ideal.

DreamScreen 4k Mega handling HDR content: ~16 watts Video mode, ~8 watts Sleep mode.

There is no harm with leaving DreamScreen in Video Mode even when there is no content playing. It ultimately depends on how you want your setup to behave. Regarding CEC Power Detect not working well, try using the USB Power Detect feature while disabling CEC Power Detect.

for future design you may want to take into consideration that a Eurpean Union directive asks for <1 watt in standby
