Backer 205 but says it won't arrive until September. How does that work with the July ship date?
Also, this is perfect timing to coincide with Microsoft's Scorpio, which will be the first true 4K console. Yeah I know Sony has a 4k'ish upgrade but it isn't native and doesn't support ultra4k either. Home system is getting a huge upgrade this fall.

My apologies for not being clear. The HD units will ship when I stated above and 4K will ship in September. As for size selection, every backer will be emailed a survey before we ship items out and if you ordered a reward that is "Any Size" there will be a special spot in the survey to select the size, much like our first campaign.

It supports content at 60Hz, 50Hz and 24Hz. DreamScreen HD is HDMI 1.4 capable and works with HDCP-encrypted content (HDCP 1.4). DreamScreen HD will also pass through 3D content. * DreamScreen 4K Hub supports 4K2K, 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 720i HDMI resolutions. It supports frame rates of 60Hz, 50Hz and 24Hz. The hub supports HDMI 1.4b and HDMI 2.0b specification and includes HDCP ciphers that are compliant with HDCP 1.4/2.2 specification. The video passthrough will support 12-bit Deep Full HD, Full 3D and HDR. So the 4K hub can do everything that the HD hub can do, and (much) more. As for the LEDs... the LEDs are the same, regardless if you choose the HD or the 4K version. Includes the flex corners and connectors required to connect to the hub. * DIY - no LEDs are included, you have to purchase them your separately (eg on ebay or amazon), and do all the setup yourself. Works with most of the popular available LED formats, such as WS2812B, SK6812, APA104, WS2813 and similar Digital LEDs. For the real DIY-ers among us. Here, only the DIY cable (to connect your LEDs to the hub) will be included. |

much more? Isn't 4k support the only difference between HD and 4k? Definitely not. The HD version supports HDMI 1.4, the 4K version has full HDMI 2.0b support. Apart from 4K support, this includes support for HDR and 12-bit Deep Full HD (which is different from 4K, even though most TVs that support this, will also have 4K support). But also things like improved CEC support, and in regard to audio channels, support for 1536KHz audio channels and Dolby Atmos. Just check out the differences between HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0/2.0a/2.0b for a complete list. Also, the HD version supports HDMI signals with HDCP 1.4 encryption, the 4K version supports signals with HDCP 2.2 encryption (although admittedly, HDCP 2.2 encryption is used mainly for 4K signals). |

So, if I understood correctly:
You want the DreamScreen 4K for a 55" TV (=MEGA size), you're an existing customer (ie. you already own the old DreamScreen model with the LEDs for that same MEGA size TV), and you want the 2 SideKick lights as well. So you do not need new LED strips, only the DreamScreen 4K device/upgrade and the 2 SideKicks.
That would be the "4K Upgrade with 2 SideKicks" for $235.
If you were a new customer (ie you want to buy new LED strips as well), then it would be the "Total Surround Lighting Package - 4K" for $315. That includes LEDs for any size TV (they send a survey to ask the size that you want after the campaign has ended).
